Common Questions
Q. Do I need to make a reservation?
A. Reservations are highly recommended for our tours and recommended for rentals. Feel free to call the day of for availability, but space and equipment can be limited. We can accommodate larger groups with advance notice.
Q. Do you offer any special group rates?
A. Yes! Please email us for pricing and availability.
Q. Are you open in bad weather?
A. We will close if there’s thunder and lightning in the vicinity, or if there’s a torrential downpour. If your reservation is impacted, we will notify you to either reschedule your rental/tour or issue a refund. If we do close, we’ll resume operations once the weather clears.
Q. Is food and water available?
A. We have water, sports drinks, and snacks for sale. There is no water fountain on-site.
Q. How long can I rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard for?
A. We rent hourly for the first hour, then either a half day or full day. You just need to return your equipment before we close for the day. Overnight kayak rentals are available if camping in the Canaveral National Seashore. See our closing times as they may change due to the day of the week or season.
Q. What if I’m late returning my kayak or paddleboard?
A. A late fee will be charged at the hourly rental rate for each rental returned each hour after the scheduled return time. If you anticipate being late, give us a call and we can try to extend your reservation to avoid incurring fees: 386-320-3223.
Q. Will I receive a refund if I return my kayak or paddleboard earlier than the time I reserved it for?
A. There are no refunds for early returns of rented equipment including kayaks and paddleboards.
Q. Are the guided tours good for someone who has never been on a kayak?
A. We love introducing people to kayaking and take out beginners all the time.
Q. Can I bring my pet?
A. As much as we love our furry friends, no pets or alcohol are allowed on the tours.
Q. What can I expect to see on a guided tour?
A. Our kayak tours all take place in saltwater environments so it is not uncommon to see dolphins, manatees, and a wide variety of shorebirds, but unfortunately, we cannot make any guarantees.
Q. Are the guided tours safe?
A. We always practice environmental stewardship on our tours and ask others to do the same. We are fully licensed and insured. Our guides are First Aid/CPR Certified.
Q. Can I transport a rented kayak or paddleboard using my vehicle?
A. No, but we do offer a delivery service for half/full-day and overnight rentals.
